Rebuilding New Orleans
Habitat for Humanity Volunteer Day:
October 18

As part of our commitment to improve the conditions of workers in New Orleans, NELA and its cosponsoring organizations are planning a one day volunteer effort through Habitat for Humanity to help rebuild New Orleans.  Join us on October 18, 2007 – the day before the seminar begins – as we dedicate ourselves to rebuilding New Orleans!  No prior construction experience is required. Work will begin at 7:30 a.m. and conclude at 3:00 p.m. on October 18.  A fee of $50 is requested to help defray the cost of lunch, water and transportation to and from the worksite. Volunteers will be required to sign a liability waiver and should wear sturdy, closed-toe and closed-heel footwear.  Sign up for REBUILDING NEW ORLEANS when you register for the seminar.
